Chicken Satay with Peanut Sauce & Noodles
Grilled Pork Loin Steak with Braised Pearl Barley & Lemon
The Chicken Satay was very nice and tasty. Peanut Sauce was good. Simply stir-fry Onion and Sugar Snap Garnish. Made own noodles which were good (self raising flour) and the dish was ok. Too much starch for a starter. Should have just included a simple stir-fry garnish. Leave the noodles out.
Recipe derived from RAB V2 Page 84. The was a really nice dish but too much following the noodles. Char-grilled the Pork Loin Steaks. Confit the Pork Tails and combined then with Sage and Breadcrumbs to make a parcel. Looked nice. Added some Bramley Apple Sauce and Pea and Mint Oil Puree. The Pearl Barley was nice but really needed the Lemon and Thyme sauce to lift it.
Cranachan is always nice and luckily a light end to the menu. Chantilly Cream, Honey, Whiskey, Toasted Oats and Raspberries. Very nice.
