Enhanced Cleaning and Changeover

Killoran House is always spotlessly clean. It has been since we took over and will continue to be whether the Public Health issue with CoViD-19 is still in effect or not. You only have to meet Natasha to know that not only is she House Proud , but thanks to our back ground in Hospitality and the Beauty industries we understand that it not enough to look clean – is has to be clean.

We have reviewed all of our procedures and we have an overview for them to help you understand what we do and when we do it.

Cleaning of Guest Rooms

Servicing of Rooms

  • The Bathroom is thoroughly cleaned including the Wall Tiles, Toilet, Shower/Bath, Sink and Floor with a Detergent and Milton Solution and then Sanitised.
  • The Room is vacuumed.
  • The Bed will be made.
  • All Room Service, whether used or not, will be removed and changed in full.
  • Guests’ belongings will not be moved or touched, but will be cleaned around.
  • Both of the Bins will be emptied and sanitised.
  • Natasha and Craig will be wearing Aprons, Gloves and Face Masks during the Room Service.

Changeover of Guests

  • The Bathroom is thoroughly cleaned including the Wall Tiles, Toilet, Shower/Bath, Sink and Floor with a Detergent and Milton Solution and then Sanitised.
  • The Room is vacuumed.
  • The Bed will be changed.
  • All Room Service will be removed and changed in full.
  • All Furniture and Room Fixtures and Fittings will be cleaned with a Detergent and Milton Solution and then Sanitised.
  • Both of the Bins will be emptied and sanitised.
  • Natasha and Craig will be wearing Aprons, Gloves and Face Masks during the Room Service.

Cleaning of Public Areas

Restaurant

  • The Restaurant is vacuumed prior to each service.
  • Following Service each table will be stripped of it’s contents and will be cleaned with a Detergent and Milton Solution and then Sanitised.
  • All Cutlery and Crockery will be washed in our Dish Washer on a full temperature cycle of 75°C which is sufficient to kill most bacteria and viruses.
  • All Contact Surfaces will sanitised.

Lounge

  • The Room is vacuumed.
  • Each of the Tables and Shelves will be cleaned with a Detergent and Milton Solution and then Sanitised.

Hallways

  • The Hallway, Stairs and Landing are vacuumed.
  • The Tables, Side Boards and Shelves will be cleaned with a Detergent and Milton Solution and then Sanitised.

Contact Surfaces

  • All door handles will be Sanitised throughout the day:
    • Front Doors
    • Restaurant Doors
    • Fire Doors
    • Guest Room Doors
    • Guest Lounge Doors
  • The Stair Hand Rails will be Sanitised throughout the day.
